Review:
For the most part, I thoroughly enjoyed this duology. I liked reading about the characters especially Wren and her character growth from being very robotic and a good soldier to becoming someone who cared about the people around her. The plot was also very intense and very fast-paced which I enjoyed. There were a lot of great action scenes.

However, the one issue I had with these books was the fact that there weren’t any explanation in terms of why reboots even existed. I never found out why some kids came back as reboots and why some kids came back later (aka stronger, deadlier, etc.) while others came back in a few short minutes. There wasn’t any reasoning behind any of it so I was left wondering as to why this was the case. There was also a brief mention about some sort of plague hence why this book is a dystopian setting but not much was touched upon it. Basically, the world building wasn’t great and readers were left to their own devices and imagination to figure things out.

Overall, while I ultimately enjoyed the series immensely, the world building was lacking and I did find myself somewhat confused in the first half of the first book. If world building isn’t high on your criteria for loving a book then I would definitely recommend this one.

Review:
This was definitely a series where the first book was amazing but then it all just went downhill from there. By the time I got to the third book, I honestly don’t even remember what happened. It was confusing and I just became so uninterested to the story and the characters.

The first book started off really strong but then things started to fall flat. The ending of the final book was lackluster and I felt that the series lost its focus. I’m not even sure what the point of the books were because at first, it was all about these aliens and survival but afterward, it went on this really strange tangent and it just never recovered from that. Ultimately, I will definitely give this series a hard pass or just read the first book because everything after was just a mess.

Review:
This was another super funny and adorable book featuring Charlotte Bronte and Jane Eyre. However, I would say that the first book in this series was far better. For some reason, I just didn’t connect with the characters or the story as much as I did in the first novel. That being said, I still thoroughly enjoyed this one as well.

The best part of the book was the twist on the classic Jane Eyre with a dash of ghosts and paranormal activities. I thought that the authors did a good job with creating such a twist while also somehow still managing to guide the book to follow the original classic. Granted, it was a very loose follow but the main plot points were there (at least, from what I could remember).

The ending was a bit predictable but still outrageously hilarious and I still loved reading the process of uncovering the main culprit. I was also mildly disappointed with the romance aspect because I was honestly hoping for something to happen for someone else but no spoilers! Overall, if you’re looking for a bit of fun and a light read with a classical character then definitely check this one out.

Review:
For a series that I have heard very little of, I found myself enjoying it immensely. I liked the espionage side of things, the mystery and the characters. This series was certainly not perfect as I had some believability issues with some of the characters’ personalities, specifically the main character’s, and the plot. There were times when things seemed a bit too far-fetched. However, at the end of the day, this series were highly entertaining.

If you enjoy fast-paced books with teenage spies, then I would recommend this series.
